Yes, it stretches and the "funnel" slides somewhat (although, in "surf breakout" mode, the suspenders will be pulled up tight - so there will be much less slide and a lot more stretch).

You bring up a good point. Prior to settling on this spraydeck, I had a Snapdragon, neo-nylon custom ordered with built in implosion bar. While it was fairly implosion proof, on "lay-back" rolls, it would tend to "breach" at the combing sides (as my all neo Snapdragon will also do in extreme cases).
