Naw, the Avy and the T are different boats. The T is an expedition boat that plays unusually well, the Avy is a play boat that tours unusually well.

If I recall correctly, you are kinda tall. I find the Avy to be far too tight for my thick thighs(too many years of competitive rowing), but I loved the boat and have used it in reasonably rough conditions in the Columbia River Gorge winds.
What you might find amusing is that whenever the coast is running too small to make whitewater boats fun in the surf (5'or less), the instructors I work with rock/paper/scissors for the Avocet as first choice- and we have a lot of boats to choose from!
Actually, we play cowboy/ninja/grizzly...
Next time you are out here, look me up and I'll show you some sweet play spots at the Or coast. I'll just have to blindfold you on the way, so you can't blab about them.
