While the weight of the boat undoubtably has something to do with it, the weight is not the only difference between your Glider and the Sea Lion. It would be a mistake to assume that the Glider is easier to turn exclusively due to the weight. They are different boats and as a result handle differently. The weight is only one contributing factor, and likely one of the less important.
