I needed ton's of help learning to roll. I read the books. I watched the videos. I paid $$$$$$$. It was only with determination and patient help of good friends working with me that I ever got the roll. I doubt I would have ever gotten my roll on my own.
I know you didn't mean to put anyone down by your comments... but be careful on these bulletin boards. I know you and know you meant to be encouraging with the above comments. On a bulletin board, however, all people can go off is your words ... and taken on their own, the words you used could hurt some people ("your roll is less than mine since you needed to get help to learn it") or make others feel bad since they needed to work so much harder to get their roll.
So lets be clear here ... everyone is different. For reasons I don't understand, the roll is really difficult for some people (like me) to learn. Anyone can learn, and once learned, its really easy; but some of us had to work painfully hard and long to get it. And I don't want anyone reading this BB and struggling to roll to feel diminished just because the roll is coming hard to them.
... which of course, I know you didn't mean to do.
