The 625 is good... better than the 500... but the 1250 is a lot better... twice as good to be precise. The difference in size is minimal but you get double the flow. I have already shown how you can run on a single amp 12V battery with no problem.

Don't worry about the priming. The Attwoods will suck air and still pump. The impeller is very close to the bottom and it sends the liquid spiraling out to the hose... there is actually no suction hose leading to the impeller... only the exit hose.

It doesn't seem to mind running dry for a little while. It starts to whirr and you switch it off. Simple as can be.
