SNIP: My Arluk will only fit the 500gph pump because of space restrictions. I use
: 11 amp batteries and the draw is 2.4 amps. This combo drains my cockpit in
: less tha 2 minutes without me in it.Thanks Ian,
I looked and looked for the current draw for the 500. 2.4 amps... I did find the draw on the 625 which had been claimed as more efficient. It is 1.2 amps. Seems that if one were choosing one vs the other for a new installation, the 625 would be the better choice.
It is unclear from the photos about size difference. It looks like they are about the same size, though the 625 has a 1" outlet vs the 3/4 for the 500.
How does the priming work? Do they have to be underwater to begin to work, or will they suck up a little on the bottom of the boat along with a lot of air??
