Gusher or Guzzler

I don't know about the Gusher pumps from Whale, but there is a lighter effort sping available for the Guzzler pumps from Bosworth. I've heard that they'll send you one at no charge if you contact them.
The Chimp pump is a deck mounted rig with a handle, that's rather large and heavy. It might be possible to shorten the handle for use as a foot pedal, but there is no spring in the pump, so you'd have to improvise a return mechanism. I have one that I removed from a Pintail and have been tempted to try this.
Another idea I've toyed with is using two of the lightweight Whale "Baby Foot Pumps", connected to the same intake and exhaust plumbing. This would provide high capacity and a degree of redundancy. You could have one under each foot or use a see-saw type foot brace. This would allow foot pumps in tight fitting boats that don't allow enough foot movement to use a centrally mounted pump.
