: Does anyone know of a good superlight kayak electric pump.
I read recently that Attwood has come out with a 625 GPH pump that draws less current than the 500GPH pump, but I've not found anyone who carries it on the internet to research it more. I'd be careful about going too large - In my Gulfstream I put a 1200 or 1600 GPH Rule pump (can't remember which), but when the water gets low in the cockpit it sucks air and quits pumping sooner. My Attwood 400 in my Guilemot pumps the boat much drier (albiet slower).
Despite all the electric gadgets, I still yern for a foot pump to remove the bilge water that gets past my skirt over time, or the last bit the electric can't get. My experiment with the gusher foot pump was a disaster - the pump was just too hard to operate for any length of time. I'd like one of those little tiny foot pumps (chimp?) if I could find a US source...
