I've been off this board for a while because I've been bitten by the kite bug really badly (kite skiing, buggying etc.)
I keep telling myself that I'm going to make a rudder for ex-single and go kite sailing, However, if anything my kiting has taugh me is to have a healthy respect for the wind. In short, I chicken out every time I get close to doing it. I've been hauled 7' off the ground with one of my smaller kites! I shudder what would happen if I were in a single hulled kayak. There is just too much to go wrong (fataly so) when using any "real power" kites (IMHO).
