OK, Pete, I give...uncle...you win.
That is beautiful. That is just the kind of thing that I am talking about, how neat is it to see the places that other people are paddling? I'd love to view pics like that more often. Especially since we are headed for 6 months of snow and ice here on the Canadian prairies.I'll see what I can do as far as setting up a site and let all know what the login and password are.

: Yes, even on land it is tough to be steady enough without a tripod with long
: lenses. OTOH: It is possible to get pretty close sometimes with a kayak,
: so maybe the very long lenses may not be needed as much. I say this
: without actually have done any photography other than snapshots from a
: kayak though.: Yep.
: That is probably a wise decision. I plan to make some effort before possibly
: coming to the same conclusion.: Sounds like fun, but I have done very little photography from my kayak at
: this point. I don't know what I would have to enter. I could probably dig
: up some pictures taken from a canoe years ago or possibly some whitewater
: pics, but they are transparencies and would need to be scanned in.: I will try to attach a low res picture of a nice sky that I saw this past
: week while sailing with the kayak in tow.: Pete
