: I noticed this for the first time in my Pintail this past weekend. While
: surfing on open water, I noticed a moaning sound as I slipped off the back
: of wavesFYI, we used to solve the humming or thrumming sound coming from Hobie Cat rudders and the centerboard on my JY15 sailboat by shaving the trailing edge of the rudder/board to a fair knife edge. Simply used an open pair of shears like knife sharpeners, drawing them down the edge. The humming was caused by the turbulence from an un-fair trailing edge. Made the rudder or centerboard vibrate. In all cases, it wasn't caused by a loose assembly.
