I admire the tenacity of your defence of rudders. Yet it seems they're not infallible. I'd heard stories about rudders failing in high winds and used to be sceptical. Now I've been there and got the T-shirt.

Yes, I'm light for the Storm -- it rides high in the water with me. That may be part of the problem. However, I'm not about to paddle a boatload of rocks around the harbour just in case the rudder fails in high winds. Not when there's a pretty Pursuit that's so much easier to manage.
