: So what boats did you get? It sounds exciting. The pool ww roll I found quite
: easy, just my damned Seaward, it seems to fight me during the roll.HI David,
Roy got a fiberglas Swift North Sea and I got a tupperware CD Storm, like Kelly's but speckled white. They're such a contrast -- the Storm is so rockered and the North Sea is so flat. I wasn't planning to buy a boat this soon but there was an amazing post-9/11 sale at Trailhead. Now I know how to roll, I realize a smaller kayak may be a better rolling boat for me, but the Storm has already taken me on some wonderful paddles, so I have no regrets. It's a great boat to develop edging techniques; it feels so secure in a lean. And I love the way it handles surf. (Yes, I got a taste of surf at Sandbanks last fall.)
Franciska, on the other hand, bought a house, so we may see less of her this summer while she fixes it up.
