All you bombproof rollers..........

.............the at - large paddling public wants to hear the gruesome details of your last swim......whether it was yesterday, or a decade ago. My last was particularly embarassing and pitiful. Last spring.......with three - plus years and some 5000 rolls under my belt...........practicing handrolls in 2 1/2 feet of absolutely benign water..............I've got about 20 or so knocked out and I'm getting a little tired..........so, stop on a success, right ???........OK........nahhh..........just a couple more..........that wasn't bad........couple more.............Now one more......I promise, this is it. ........four attempts, and still upside down...........not a problem.......storm paddle is right there on the front deck.........grab it.............something's not right here.........storm paddle is tangled in painter line and I'm out of air......one horrible final upside down hesitation as I realize that there's a compadre on shore who's gonna witness this..........pull the cord and stand up less than waist deep.............glance shoreward......"Did you see that" ?? "Yup"
