I started building cedar strip boats in 2001 using a few reference books and I had no computer. Now, I have a computer and find a lot of useful info through this website. I have built 2 canoes, 5 kayaks, a scale model kayak and am presently working on a 6 foot display canoe. I discovered that my grandfather had a passion for boat-building and my great-grandfather was born on a ship coming over to Quebec from Scotland. I hope the boat-building never stops.
