Big feet

Howdy all,
I am currently paddling a CLC Cape Charles 18, built to specs using thier blue prints. I am having trouble with my big feet! I can wear sneakers and be snug, or booties and have a little room, but that's it.
How much trouble would I be asking for if I added an inch or two to the side panels to raise the deck? I realize that this will add to the beam, but I am not worried about it. ( I also have trouble getting my knees in and out.)
Or...could I make a tapered rise in the sides, say starting at the cockpit, peaking at my feet, and then coming back down further f'ward? This would probably warp the hell out of the cambered deck though.
I love my boat, but I would really like to be able to stick some hiking boots into it when the weather turns.
Any and all responses appreciated,
Rick
