Stitch and glue Baidarka

Shearwater boats, which I am not familiar with, is sell plans for a stitch and glue baidarka. Does anyone have experience with this boat or a wooden not skin on frame baidarka? I am most interested in the bifid bow which I have heard (from an old guy on a beach) gives a kayak a cleaner entry into the water by cancelling out the bow wave. Does anyone have any information about this? What I would like to build next is a strip Baidarka, in my mind I can picture a very elegant looking boat, but I haven't come across any plans yet.
