Tapio, Do you have any report or more detailed information you could share with us? Graphs, numbers, pictures? Nick

: All laminates were reinforcing fiber/epoxy construction. We tried the
: following reinforcements: E-glass, HS-carbon, Dyneema, Aramid,
: reinf-polyester. We did theoretical calcs on about 20 laminates and chose
: 6 or 7 to tests. Aramid and dyneema did not get good results even in most
: combinations but they both did give the laminates some toughness, the
: cracks did not get very far on the impact test and chances on losing whole
: pieces in real collision propably is less. In so called local bending both
: give lousy results, on global stiffness they fared much better.
