Great Auk Offsets Question

Nick, or anyone who has built an Auk.

I am looking at building one from the offsets in Nick's book. When looking at the drawings in the front of the book, the Great Auk shows two different decks. I am assuming the offsets later in the book are for the "rolled", or higher deck.

Looking at the offsets, is it as simple as dropping the highest point on each section (ignoring the deck section)? The topmost point looks to be the one that begins to "come back".

The reason I ask this is that in dropping the last point, the deck is lowered. How does this affect the kayak?
