: I was wondering about hdpe, high density polyethylene, an extremely durable
: less brittle plastic. what milk jugs are made of. it could be bent or
: creased at the end, with a little support, to avoid cutting. I'm just
: looking into the skin boat with synthetic skin--might as well go all the
: way.I'm not exactly sure how you intend to use the HDPE ? It's heavy, and very
expensive. It's fine for making folding kayak cross sections as so little
is needed. It cuts very easy with a jig saw ( wood or plastic blade). If you are making a non folding skin boat, wood is hard to beat.
