canoe ideas for kayaks -- hull

i wrote a question about making a kayak using the rib, plank, and canvas method. my next question is if anybody has any ideas for a hull that might work for building this kayak. i'm looking at about 16'6" kayak. Any information or a place to find the information would be greatly appreciated.
