Max Weight Loading figures meanings...

Hi guys,

The short of it is my kayak has a max weight loading of 350 lbs. which i will be mazing out to the pound by the weight of a sailrig and camping gear.

Just what does this imply? Is the kayak now sunk up to the sheer line? Too, is there some kind of loose formula for how many inch[es] you lose for a given weight loading? Say, like every 50 pounds beyond the weight of the empty floating kayak.
