Hi Shawn, Would it be a good idea to make a double with less reserve carrying capacity (percentage wise) than a single so that the paddlers can enjoy maximum power/boat ratio and leave all the gear hauling to the singles? Seems to me that most doubles carry the "double thing" too far for day paddling so that when one weaker paddler is taking a break the stronger paddler is doing a LOT more work,if the boat is sized appropriately then the kayak will really zoom with two working and manage with one loafing. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a Wilderness Systems Echo.
