I don't know what style the Arluk is but it is fast. I imagine the Arluk 1.8 and 1.9 would be even faster as they are narrower. ( When people ask me what kind of kayak I have, I tell them it is a RED one!! {:o) )
The only drawback I found on the Arluk III was the seat which I replaced. The front bulkhead was too far forward too, but that is just because I've got short legs. I moved it back about 14 inches, now pumpouts are much faster.
Have to say though, that I like the looks of wooden boats best. It is just that my Arluk is part of the family!
