> can accomodate enough gear for a week trip.You might want to take a look at the web pages for Pygmy Boats. They make kits for kayak builders. I have completed an Osprey and I am currently building a Coho. They have some informative ideas on general hull design and deck layout.
They have a nice article on speed and handling differences between their multi-chine Coho and hard-chine Artic Tern. Whether you get one of their Kits or not you will find good information to use here.
