ok,ok, I'll look into the archives , work with me please. curious about the categories for recreational racing. It appears that there are categories for traditional sea kayak , fast sea kayay, and high performance or open. In puget sound I've found Sound Rowers paddling clubs categories based on waterline length/beam ratio. Ratios something like traditional= 9 11. Have rounded off and running on memory(yikes). CCK and SeaTrek in S.F. have traditional,fast traditional and open based purely on width and length no categories by ratio of the specific boat. Does anybody out there have experience with races in Canada and elsewhere for categories in the less than X-par missle set.
