You could always do what the Innuit did. When it looks good, put her in the water and see if she floats!
Isn't Ballistic Co-efficient, the number used to describe the temperment of your wife upon your return from an unannounced kayaking trip? It is a multiple of what mundane chore she had planned for you and inversely proportional to the time between your anniversary and the date you finally remembered it on!!
The net result of this equation looks some what like the remains of a kayak with occupant being discharged through a battleship's guns.
