In Response To: Engine! (Tony McBryan)

I have one of those 4 foot wide, 14 foot plastic canoes, ( a waterquest 14) that I use with a cheap 40# thrust trolling motor, home made clamp on side motorbracket. The motor can be locked up, out of the way of paddling.

It easily makes6 mph on my GPS, which is about 3 mph faster than my wife and I can paddle that old wide canoe. You just have to be carefull to slow down while turning. Gets rather tippy and off balance.

Handy for getting to the fishing hole.

Chris
