Hi David, have you ever looked at the bottom of a Mariner? weirdest collection of lines, but the boats are versatile and reflect the assymetry of the motor better than any boat I've seen so far. Got me to thinking that chines forward of the hips aren't needed for paddling reasons. After awhile these conversations over what is "better" start sounding like what waffle print on tennis shoes is better. Don't think about it on the trails.
