In CanoeCraft by Ted Moores and Merilyn Mohr there are plans for a 4-man flatwater racing canoe. I have no idea how this boat would work in concrete. I would expect that it would be somewhat heavier than the wood strip original; you might need to adjust the displacement to accomodate the extra weight.
