Flatwater squirt boat

Me and my friend are uinfortunate enough to not live anywhere near moving water. and we want to have fun in small boats specificly squirt boats. my question is: does anyone out there have any idea where I can get plans of a squirt boat made out of wood or fibreglass that would also be good for surfing on lake michigan. thansk much
