Hello

I am just a mechanical designer working at a steel plant. On my freetime I like to design and build different kinds of canoes. Here you can find a free design program

If you make some Fem analysis please add a post to the BBS. As usual the problem I think is to find the right loads and forces. The loads from general use (flatwater) must be very low. The biggest loads must come from blows and stuff like that. Also I think a stiff hull that don't flexes is important(when racing). Some years ago I made a marathon racer with a simple framework. And it turned out rather well
