Fastest Kayak / Design Freeware

Hi folks,

I'm playing with the idea of designing my own sitontop "wave-ski" type kayak.
I want it to do nothing but be extremely efforless to paddel in fairly straight lines. Basically I want to do 5mph on 3.6 pounds of drag. Im willing to give up a lot to get this performance.

For now, Im considering a kayak with a 14" beam and about 18' plum. Basically, I want it to be the kind of kayak if you stop - you flop. A real speed machine that wants to do nothing but straight and fast on fairly flat water.

Any suggestions? And also, is there such a thing as kayak design "freeware"?
