low paddling angle with wide blades make a asymetrical paddle worthwhile,the paddle has less tendency to roll onto the surface low paddling angle with narrow blades ? less noticable high paddling angle barely noticable overall shape of the blade face and blade shape seems more important than shape of assymetry. those translucent paddles with floral fabric as part of the layup look cool.

marketing fashion affects paddle shape. assymetry of wing paddles makes lots of sense,never tried one though
