: Or dont scale and make/mark
: the offsets directly on each panel (to a refline) take model apart and use
: that as the next model pattern.so for example your model is built up on a series of locked in sections by a stick strongback sim to nicks strip method. and you lay out real crappy panels that don't ever touch or you have to cut back to get gaps. (you satisfy yourself that the model is large enough and the model panel material is stiff enough to model what you want to do).
and then you face glue millions of pairs of little stiff strips of say 1/16x1/16 balsa or anything for each pair of panels so that the bottom edge of each pair just touches across the gap. sort of like making a contour gauge of the whole model except that the contours are made up of the imaginary intersection of the 2 panels. if you are a good builder do half the model and flip the offsets. i would suggest doing the whole thing and comparing differences or making slight changes in one side so that in effect you have a changing model going to relflect what your interest is.
take apart these gapped panels and use the ends of the little strips still glued to the gappanel to define the real panels.
then a new model to test.
