: I’m designing a hard chined S & G boat mostly by hand on the drafting
: board. In order to outline the panels to be cut out of plywood, I need to
: project the hull surface onto a flat surface (the plywood sheet). Does
: anyone know of a reference describing how to do this by hand?quickly, i'd use 2 overlaid consecutive sections to get a common radial pt to make offsets. and then a tangential projection from the side view between to get length. Partial points on each to get the relative curvature. All are approximations.
