There is no correct answer to this question. "Best" depends on what you want to do, what your skills are, what conditions you are paddling in, and generally what your idea of fun is. The best way to pick a boat is always to get in some and try them. After you have found a few that match your desires, it is time to look at manufacturing and other considerations. Talk to other people that do the same kind of paddling as you want to do and see what they recommend, try them and narrow down you choices.
