: I built a flat-bottom cardboard boat and raced it against 15 other boats. I
: smoked them all! My boat is 20" wide, 11' long and 12" high and
: weighs 25lbs.Go with a rounded or oval shaped bottom. The round bottomed boat will be a bit stronger than a flat bottom boat, and a little more streamlined. Cut your boat's profiles from bulkheads or bracing made from thicker cardboard, and corrugated cardboard will curve nicely over them, giving a long, smooth hull.
Hope this helps.
