Naval architecture packages like New Wave Systems are generally only used for designing the hull and deck shape. Most people use a more generic CAD system for drawing other parts. The Nav. Arch. package will generally supply sections, buttocks lines (profile) and waterlines (top view) and some output developed surfaces (stitch and glue panels). You can import these into other CAD packages. Bulkheads are just a straight section, nothing else is needed. If you make deck beams on a form, you can import a section into a CAD package and deduct the thickness of the beam from the section shape. You may be able to develop an cockpit shape in the Nav Arch software, but it is a whole lot easier to just draw a hole which you like shape of. The Nav Arch software can help you determine where the hole should go. Hatches can be where ever and whatever shape you want.
