I was not trying to make anyone look bad and can't see how I did. I pointed out that the use of anthropometric measure serves as a means to measure and has no relationship to properly sizing a boat for the paddler or not. Anyone using them and assuming that the resulting boat will some how "fit" them might get a good boat but might not. One can just as easily use any other form of measurement.
Usually posters asking a questions on this bulletin board desire a response. If people only want a response if they mail a question to people personally then it will help if they make that clear by saying something like "Just a rhetorical question, no response required".
Not sure where Christer gets that I have any fear of the past. My research into my forthcoming book on Inuit kayaks intrigues me and interests me. Fear, no. Curiosity, yes. Yes, the Inuit built some "good" boats (whatever that is) while knowing nothing about hydrodynamics. I bet they also built a lot of "Bad" ones (Whatever that is).
