Wind/speed question...

While Ive gotten my kayak wet, I've still got a lot of performance questions...

I know a lot of kayakers will sit out high winds rather than go headlong into them [or any angle for tht matter]. Just how much does wind take out of forward speed given a head wind? Im guessing, you probably lose possibly a full knot fo every 15 knots of head wind....does that sound right? With that said, how much wind before the paddler can make absolutely no forward progress?
