Hull design help.

I am in the planning stages for my second boat after just finishing my Guillemot. I once went on a trip in Alaska on boats that were EXTREMELY stable. The hull design had almost a 3 keel type of look to it if that makes any sense. If you look down the length, it almost makes a "M" shape. This boat will be intended for my daughter so I'm looking for something that won't be tippy at all. Any thoughts? How does one copy the design of a certain part of a boat. How do you go from looking at the physical piece to getting it down on paper? I'm not looking to rip off an entire boat but simply this hull design and incorporate it into a complete boat of my own design. Thanks in advance. Paul
