Im a Connecticut resident and never kayak as much as I need or want to. My kayak is a 17' 5" multichine kayak with 22" beam. I built it from plans. When Im not paddling marine environments im often painting them, above and below the waterline. Some of the photos taken this suimmer from my kayak will be turned into full scale oil paintngs this fall, winter and spring. I eventually want to develop the skills needed for serious offshore paddling, however, for now I'm completely taken up with investigating wetlands and shorelines with occaisional multi-mile crossings. No matter how far I eventually paddle offshore, my ultimate goal will always be to find a finer coastline.
