Back around 1995 I signed up for a kayak trip. Never did it before. I like it. A lot. The next year I did a bunch more trips. And built my first kayak at the Wooden Boat School. The following year was more of the same. And I built a second boat at the school. In 1998 I took a course in strip building kayaks and started my own Guillemot later that year. Not long after that I moved to the Maine coast to build and paddle kayaks. A job got in the way, but now, June 2003, I'm finally opening Friendship Kayak, fine builders of custom kayaks and canoes.
