I am a senior in college working on my thesis project. I want to do something pertaining to sea kayak safety and comfort.

I have enjoyed kayaking since I was eight but have developed an even greater appreciation for the sport since an S.U.V. messed up my knee. The sport has potential to help develop mind, body and soul while being inexpensive and fun. Although I sometimes boarder on reckless when it comes to my own safety, I know the ancient ocean can be just as deadly as it is beautiful.

With all this said, my goal is to develop a product that will aid the kayaking enthusiast, (whether they consider themselves to be extreme or extremely cautious), in enhancing the safety and comfort of the kayaking experience.

I am hoping to gather other kayakers insights that will help me discover areas of improvement that could be achieved with some extensive research and development.
