Steam works really well. I use a cheap wallpaper stripping steamer, and a piece of foam pipe insulation. I put the strip in the pipe insulation (2" pipe insulation), stuff the nozzle of the steamer in next to it, and clamp the other end half shut.

After about five minutes its like wet spaghetti, slightly over-bend/twist it and then hold it until cool. There will be a little spring-back, but not much.
