Hi again!
With all the forms done I have run into a couple of questions that someone here can hopefully answer.
I ended up re-drawing all the forms this time using Duncan R. Winnings original measurements but.......
The measurements is (as I understand it) meant as a scientific documentation of the kayak. Therefore it is recorded with all the warps that the kayak have gotten through the years. The rear stem is even measured up to show just how crooked it has gotten. No problem straightening that out, but Im not sure about the keelline. On this drawing the keel actually have an "upwards bend" (the center of the circle describing the curve is BELOW the keel
(hope this makes sense to you guys) Im wondering if that is a design feature or a warp of old age.I want to stay as close to the original hullshape as possible, but I would like to have it as it were when it was build, rather than how it was after years of use (and a move from Greenland to Scotland)
Ill have to do some fairing, and probably a new set of forms before actually building this kayakGennie
