I regularly paddle Lake Michigan, near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lately my primary and favorite boat is my most recently finished Night Heron. I've also built two skin-on-frame kayaks, semi-replicas, based on designs from Northern Canada and Alaska. I built a Chesapeake 17LT for my wife, but I'm building "something sportier" for her now, the Petrel, because she's "much too petite" for the 17LT. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
