I am a mathematician and physicist living in Huntsville, Alabama. Huntsville is not exactly a kayaking hotspot, but there are a few of us. I have been paddling in plastic for the past couple years. I recently built a Great Auk.

I have been a woodworker for decades. My experience has been in making 18th and 19th century reproductions. I especially enjoy my handtools--planes, chisels, and handsaws. I have been enjoying developing the new woodworking skills required of kayak building.

Kayak building is an addiction. I do not plan to join Kayak Builders Anonymous ;-)
