I live in NY, and teach mechanical engineering at Maritime College in the Bronx. My engineering background is in fluid mechanics, but also structural engineering and construction. I also did cloud research for a few years. In summer 2007 I built a SOF Coaster at Cape Falcon Kayak in Oregon. I want to build more boats (of course), and will start with one of my own design, and may build a Yost boat after that. A strip-built may be in my future. I am a new member of the Yonkers Paddling and Rowing Club, which has increased my time on the water quite a bit. Beside the Coaster, I have a CD Pachena, a short sea kayak (now my loaner boat) and a magnificent mahogany Struer Bel Ami, a flatwater touring boat.
